The
Woodstock Years
It’s been 50 years since the world’s most famous rock festival WOODSTOCK!
To celebrate the occasion, and for this year only,
Dark Horses Classic Rock Experience
have prepared a special set, featuring the highlights of the three day event crammed into one epic, memory jogging, nostalgic gig.
We invite you to join us in recapturing the spirit of the times, when love, peace and happiness reigned for a short time, in tune with the idealistic hopes of the 1960s. * Headbands and Tie-dyes optional.
The Woodstock Music Festival began on August 15, 1969, as half a million people waited on a dairy farm in Bethel, New York, for the three-day music festival to start. Billed as “An Aquarian Experience: 3 Days of Peace and Music,” the epic event would later be known simply as Woodstock and become synonymous with the counterculture movement of the 1960s.
Woodstock was a was a peaceful celebration and earned its hallowed place in pop culture history, despite, or maybe because of, a lot of sex, drugs, rock ‘n’ roll and rainstorms.
